Update to the story

It has been reported by CNN that Bristol Palin is currently pregnant. They are claiming that Bristol is 5 months pregnant. Congratulations Bristol. You have a great journey in front of you and we are sure you will have many happy moments, with your second child.

We have consulted a nurse of 33 years who has her masters degree as to the possibility of giving birth and getting pregnant within a month. She not only said it is possible but mentioned several cases she is currently dealing with or has dealt with in the past where siblings are only 10 months apart. The revelation by the Palin family that 17 year old Bristol Palin is currently pregnant only proves one thing in our minds. Abstinence only education simply does not work. Read On...



Sarah Palin has stated in interviews that she does not support sex education programs. Programs that, were they taught in schools, would have taught Bristol about contraceptives and the dangers of having unprotected sex. Sarah Palin is a proponent of abstinence only education which is a form of sex education that emphasizes abstinence from sex to the exclusion of all other types of sexual and reproductive health education, particularly regarding birth control and safe sex. This type of sex education promotes sexual abstinence until marriage and either completely avoids any discussion about the use of contraceptives, or only reveals failure rates associated with such use. Proponents of abstinence-only sex education argue that this approach is superior to comprehensive sex education for several reasons.

It is now published fact that the Sarah Palin's very own family is living proof of the failure of abstinence only sex education. A program that Sarah Palin wholeheartedly supports. Is Trig Bristol's Baby?

It has been reported that Sarah Palin's fifth and most recent baby is really her teenage daughter's child. Trig Palin was born on April 18, 2008. What's odd about this is that Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska and now the republican Vice Presidential nominee, waited until March 5th, 2008 to announce to the media that she was 7 months pregnant. Palin was 44 at the time of the announcement. While Sarah Palin did not appear pregnant in any recent photographs, pictures of the family during the time of the pregnancy have surfaced which show Bristol with what appears to be a “baby bump”.

To add to the drama surrounding this birth, Students who have attended classes with Bristol Palin at an Anchorage high school report that she had been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with Governor Palin. Some have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months.

Adding even more fuel to the fire, the Alaska Department of State has now taken down all the photos of Sarah Palin and her family from their website. Word of the pregnancy scandal is spreading around the Internet like wildfire. According to one source, people “in the know” from Alaska are stating it is true, and that Sarah Palin hid her daughter’s pregnancy. And that the child, Trig Palin, might actually belong to her daughter, Bristol.

So, is Trig Palin really Bristol Palin's baby? Did Governor Sarah Palin cover up for Bristol Palin? Was Bristol Palin Pregnant and did she give birth to Trig Palin? Why does this matter? Because Sarah Palin is now the presumptive Republican nominee for Vice President of the United States of America. She is not only a pro-life advocate, she is an abstinence only proponent which means if her 16 year old daughter Bristol Palin was pregnant, her message simply doesn't work! 	Don't get me wrong, I think that Palin is a joke and should go back to Alaska, but the logic stating that teaching abstinence in school doesn't work due to Palin's daughter getting pregnant doesn't add up. What about all the kids who took sex education in school and still ended up getting pregnant? You would have to conclude that safe sex education doesn't work either. I think that both should be taught in schools and both views are legitimate, but if a kid get's pregnant, it's not because either of the teachings 'failed".

	Courtney19: You say that Sarah Palin's words are being twisted and our current sex ed doesn't work. But, her system would work. Then you go on to use Bristol as an example of the failure of the current school system. The fact is that there is no current system. The school my children go to teaches them nothing about sex education. They aren't taught about how condoms work and they aren't taught to abstain. Nothing. If it weren't for the fact that my wife and I teach our children about sex (which personally I think is how it should be) they wouldn't be learning anything. The fact is that schools have stopped teaching our kids about this stuff. Because of parents like Sarah Palin and those who follow her blindly. They screamed about schools teaching this stuff to our kids and the schools dumbed it down to the point where they didn't even discuss it anymore. Our kids need to know how to protect themselves if they do have sex. They also need to know the dangers of having unprotected sex. They need to be shown pictures of people with venereal diseases and they need to be made aware of the hardships of having and raising a child when they are in fact only children. Palin says we need to teach children to abstain from having sex. We see how well that worked with her daughter. Instead of trying to tell everyone else how to live their life, Sarah Palin needs to take some time off and start teaching her children the same morals she is preaching to everyone else. Then she can start being a role model for other parents to follow.

	This author is an idiot switching Palin'd words around. She wants sex education that discusses avoiding sex until marriage, unlike our current sex Ed that tells us how to have safe sex. Her point is that our current sex Ed doesnt work, which can be seen in Bristol and a million other teenagers. The schools need to change. Too bad she wasn't our president

	To Verne, yours is a very thoughtful post, however I would point out that that there are over 750,000 teenage pregnancies per year, and I doubt even 1% of them have not been taught about birth control and condoms. Regardless of what they have been taught, teenagers will often behave impulsively, and birth control under those circumstances will not always be effective. For example, how many girls, having missed a pill, will abstain for the rest of the month? How many boys pressure them not to use a condom? It is more a matter of luck, than "teaching" that determines whether pregnancy will occur. Abstinence is taught by those who believe - as you do now - that sex is a gift to be shared with someone special, not just scattered around to anyone who suggests it. The fact that abstinence prevents pregnancy at a time when the girl is barely more than a child yourself is a benefit, but not the only object of the teaching.

	Bristol can't hold a conversation, much less tell young ladies not to have sex. Just like her Mom, she doesn't know a State from a Country. I feel sorry for Todd and the other children.
